An integral pillar of the American Dream U mission to provide the best guidance, empowerment, and resources to transitioning military lies in our dynamic and enthralling live instructional events. Recently, on August 19th, we were thrilled to host a veteran-run career development seminar for the 75th Ranger Regiment in Fort Benning, Georgia. The day-long seminar featured remarkable instruction from numerous highly successful army veterans – led by former Ranger, leadership consultant, and ADU advisor Jesse Yandell. Alongside Yandell, the seminar leaders captivated their audience, providing intimate and energetic instruction of information which will prove invaluable in the transition to civilian life. The seminar outlined the many paths available to transitioning military, and how those paths can be taken to certain career fields – from entrepreneurship to policymaking. The seminar, much like the courses offered through the ADU Military Veteran Program, not only showed the vast possibilities and opportunities available to transitioning military, but also how to achieve them; speakers discussed the indispensability of networking, education, and mission-orientation to success. Here at ADU, we apply this guidance directly to our free instructional courses in order to help veterans maximize their success in transition. Our courses, resources, networks, tools, and all efforts here at ADU go alongside live events such as this seminar in Ft. Benning to most effectively accomplish our mission: to help our servicemen and women achieve their dream jobs or start their own businesses and to give back to our nation’s heroes.
