What You’ll Learn
In this masterclass, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how military service, prolonged stress, and trauma can affect the nervous system long after service ends. Dr. Michele S. Cox will help explain why the body can remain in survival mode even when life appears safe, and how healing begins by teaching the nervous system that it no longer has to stay on high alert.
You’ll walk away with practical insight into how the body responds to stress, why nervous system regulation matters, and how simple tools like breathwork, mindfulness, and body-based awareness can support restoration.
What You Can Expect from This Masterclass:
- Understand the Body’s Survival Response
- Explore the Physical Side of Transition
- Learn Practical Regulation Tools
- Reconnect With the Body
- Hear From a Veteran Physician

Founder American Dream U
I am dedicated to empowering military members to achieve success and transform lives by providing essential tools to aid active duty and veterans transition successfully to civilian life! In 2003 I started American Dream U, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping our military get the education and access to resources they need to find their dream job or start a business of their own. During my journey in life, I grew tired and started looking at my daily habits and grew awareness that created my reality. This started my path towards being the best version of me. In pursuit of my own American Dream, I became a successful entrepreneur with breadth of experience across multiple industries. With ownership in and direct management of Text Safe Teens, forty-four Subway Sandwich Stores, partnership interest in land development projects, and interest in Source Intelligence compliance firm and CapitalMD, a medical billing and financial company.

Dr. Michele S. Cox
Osteopathic Physician | Navy & Coast Guard Veteran
Dr. Michele S. Cox is an osteopathic physician and Navy and Coast Guard veteran who helps veterans better understand the connection between trauma, prolonged stress, and the body’s nervous system. With a background in regenerative medicine, trauma-informed care, and integrative healing approaches, Dr. Cox brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to this important conversation. Her work focuses on helping veterans reconnect with their bodies, regulate the nervous system, and move toward healing in a way that honors what the body has been through. Her message is clear: healing after service is not about shutting down survival responses. It is about teaching the nervous system that it no longer has to stay there.
