The transition from military to civilian life can be difficult for many. Combined Arms, an organization dedicated to creating a well-rounded community of veterans who are United After the Uniform, notes that “While in the military [service members] and their families are part of a unit and a strong support network with clear direction for career paths and family services.”
It can be a shock to go from an integrated, supportive, well-structured community to an environment where you may feel less connected or it may seem others do not understand your background. Combined Arms goes on to note, “We believe that the best service we can provide veterans during their transition is access to a community of veterans that have already transitioned, who have walked the road they find themselves on presently and have the time and ability to give back to strengthen their careers and families.”
Combined Arms was created in recognition of the fact that no lone organization can meet the needs of every single transitioning service member. They provide connections and bring many organizations together. Combined Arms focuses on being a community for veterans so that veterans may get access to the resources they need to fit their individual circumstances.

Providing community is one of the main reasons we run our ADU LIVE 21-day sprint courses, where transitioning service members are connected to veteran mentors, grow alongside one another, and learn tips and tricks to reach out to the veteran communities that already exist across the country.
