We learn through community. We grow through community. And we overcome personal obstacles and trials through community.
And that’s what Life For 22 Productions is – a community. It is an organization with the mission to use community to teach the world about PTSD and help the PTSD sufferer. The founder himself went through PTSD. He understood that in order to help himself, and ultimately help others, he had to learn as much as he could from other folks who were going through a similar journey.
On their website, they have countless videos of individuals who are dealing with PTSD share their own Positive PTSD Prose (PPP). This is essentially them sharing their story and what things have worked for them. They do this to become aware of themselves, and ultimately to help others by sharing what has worked for them.
For those of you who feel like something has changed within yourself after a traumatic event – whether that be in combat, sexual assault, or another event – the website contains resources and education so you can determine whether or not PTSD could be at the root of some of your symptoms.
They have literally hundreds of resources for you to utilize. They have listed all of the PTSD resources by state, a nationwide Facebook support group, information about obtaining a service dog, and many filmed interviews from those dealing with PTSD, doctors, and other professionals. Here’s an example of Brian’s story with PTSD and his positive prose in hopes of helping others.
We encourage you to check out their website here. It’s an incredible resource that we know many people have already taken advantage of, but many more people could also benefit from. After looking into their site, if you know of an individual that could use their resources, gently reach out to that person and share what they have to offer.
Again, everything stems from community. Life For Productions 22 is part of that community. American Dream U is a part of that community as well. We’re both here to support you.
