Here at American Dream U, we believe former service members have the ability to create great positive change in the civilian sector. Veterans have sacrificed so much to keep our nation safe and free. If you’re a veteran, chances are you’ve gone through training, been a part of an incredible team, and had remarkable experiences that all form you into an individual of exceptional character.
We believe that supporting transitioning service members to create their bigger future and reach their greatest potential benefits everybody. Veterans in the civilian workforce bring their ideas, passion, drive, dedication, and upright character to push our industries to be the best they can be. At the end of the day everybody wins when we make military transition smooth.
We were honored to receive a generous donation from two civilians, Shivika Sinha and Nick Shah, who are using their passion and talent to make our world a better place. We love that these two remarkable world-changers see the same value and potential in past and present service members that we do.
When describing why they chose to donate, Shivika and Nick responded, “As entrepreneurs, we are acutely aware that business can be a force for prosperity and positive impact. A safe and stable country, which our service members risk their lives for, is a crucial prerequisite for entrepreneurship. We are honored to support American Dream U and their efforts to transition veterans and help them flourish in the communities they have protected.”
Shivika Sinha
Shivika Sinha is an award-winning social entrepreneur, advocate for conscious consumerism and Founder & CEO of Veneka, a capsule wardrobe styling service featuring the world’s most sustainable and ethical brands. Veneka’s stylists hand-curate 7-10 styles that create 25-50 outfits, and turn getting dressed into a ritual that empowers our lives and transforms the planet.
Shivika is on a mission to reshape capitalism as a force for positive humanitarian and planetary change by harnessing the power of conscious consumerism. Previously, she spent a decade in marketing, growth acceleration and strategy for global brands.
Alongside women like Michelle Obama and Malala Yousafzai, Shivika has been honored by the U.N. and The Canales Project with a song dedicated to her life’s work.
Nick Shah
Nick Shah is a Co-Founder of Ampush, a leading provider of digital customer acquisition technology & services to the world’s most innovative direct-to-consumer brands. Ampush was named one of Inc. Magazine’s Top 500 fastest growing companies in America and has been described by TechCrunch as “The McKinsey of Growth Marketing”.
Nick is also an early stage investor in disruptive businesses across e-commerce, SaaS, fintech, and healthcare verticals. Prior to starting Ampush, he was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley focused on Media & Communications. Nick graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, which recently awarded him the Joseph Wharton Award for Young Leadership.

Shivika and Nick have served our world in very different ways than past and present service members have, but in the end it takes all of us to create our bigger future. We’re extremely grateful for Shivika and Nick – both for their service to humanity through Veneka and Ampush, and for their generous support of transitioning service members through American Dream U.
